ECCV requires that customers apply for a temporary exemption before laying new seed or installing new sod. This exemption allows 21 days of watering outside ECCV's established watering schedule. Seed and Sod permits are issued starting April 1st, and no later than May 10th.  Laying seed or sod is not permitted From June-1st -August 31st. 

The cost for a seed/sod permit is as follows: $40

ECCVs Water Efficiency Team will contact  you regarding permit delivery and inspection, within one week. 

Certain requirements must be met in order to recieve a permit, and include: 

- Proof of soil ammendment (receipt).

When your permit sign is delivered, ECCV will do a visual inspection to ensure the soil has been ammended.
